Learning to Drive

Learning to drive can be one of the most stressful things you’ll ever do. But it really doesn’t need to be. With adequate knowledge and preparation you can feel confident in the car, while at the same time minimising the time and money you’ll need to past your test and get your driving licence.

That’s why at Driving Schools Booking Services (DSBS), we offer learner drivers more useful resources than any other organisation; just one of the reasons why we are different from other driving schools. All the information you need to learn to drive can be found in this section, giving you access to expert support and advice.

You can find a wealth of information here, including help understanding tuition fees; useful articles on learning to drive; and a guide to obtaining your provisional and full driving licences. There is also a useful FAQs section where you can find the answers to some of the most common questions that pupils have about driving lessons and learning to drive. Finally, you can use this section to find a test centre near you or book a test.

All of these resources are completely free to anyone learning to drive in the UK, whether you’re a DSBS pupil or are currently learning with another driving school, as part of our commitment to providing all learners with as much useful advice and knowledge as we can. If you do decide to become a DSBS pupil, you’ll receive the full benefit of this support, from your very first lesson all the way through to passing your test and gaining your licence.

Information and Resources for Learner Drivers

Provisional Licence

Leaner drivers must have a provisional licence to be eligable to legally drive on public roads. They must also be accompanied by a someone who has a fully qualified licence. To find out more about the provisional licence click here.

Full Licence

Once you have passed the practical driving test, you may apply for a full licence, which allows you to drive unaccompanied in the UK. Click here for more information.

Driving Lessons Prices

DSBS only uses fully qualified instructors. Qualified instructors will allow you to get up to driving test standard quicker. So, although our lessons are not the cheapest per hour, they will likely save you money overall.
