UK Driving Test
Help Taking Your Test at DSBS
As with any examination, your chance of passing your driving test is much greater if you know what to expect and have prepared adequately for it. As the driving test follows a fixed structure and has the same pass criteria throughout the UK, with the right information you can approach your test with confidence, wherever you learn to drive.
At Driving Schools Booking Services (DSBS), we offer learner drivers more useful resources to help them pass their test than any other organisation; just one of the reasons why we are different from other driving schools. All the information you need can be found in this section of our website, making expert support and advice easily accessible to you.
In this section you will find information and guidance on both the theory test and the practical test – helping you get your licence as quickly and easily as possible.
The theory test consists of a series of multiple choice questions and the hazard perception test. In order to gain your theory test certificate, you need to pass both parts. While the theory test can be daunting at first, especially for those with little experience of formal examinations, with the right preparation you can increase your chance of passing considerably. In the theory test section of our website you can find all the information you need.
Once you’ve passed the theory test, you are eligible for the practical test, which you will need to pass to get your full driving licence. A DSA approved examiner will accompany you in the car for approximately 40 minutes, assessing if you have the necessary skills to drive a car safely and confidently. As with the theory test, your success depends on you fully understanding what is involved. To help you, there is a section of our website dedicated to the practical test, with information on everything from test prices to how the examination is structured.
In addition, our website is the only place to view all of the driving test routes in the country. With access to over 7,000 routes, you can make sure you are fully prepared to step into the car for your practical test, improving your chance of passing and leaving the test centre with your driving licence.
If you have a question relating to your test, or would like to discuss the theory or practical test with one of our fully qualified driving instructors, you can call us on 0800 080 5410.
Good luck!
